Parisian Chic.

//Levi jeans//Silence+Noise blazer//Trouve booties//

I adore everything that is French or Parisian looking, so I wanted to choose an outfit that I feel embodies the Parisian way of life. I picked this classic striped sailor shirt when I visited Fontainebleau, France two summers ago. I feel like it is the epitome of casual French style. The overall look here is classy (haha) and cute yet wearable and sophisticated at the same time. Cuffed jeans, booties, a fitted blazer and a fresh face top the look off--now all I need is a new setting. Eiffel tower? Saint-Tropez? Versailles? Any of them will do just fine.

Homestead Photo Diary

//Loft sweater//Madewell maxi-sequin dress-necklace//vintage boots//Nordstrom jacket//Primark leggings//Cooperative wedges//

I spent winter break at The Homestead again this year; attending lavish parties, enjoying gourmet food, wearing strictly designer clothing.
Well maybe that's just how I imagined it.

I experimented with some new hairstyles and new colors! Instead of my boring day-to-day long hair, I tried out some up-dos like the milkmaid braid and the ballerina bun. Also, I stuck to a black palette which is really unusual for me. Here's to a new year and trying new things!

Fall Transition

//H&M pants//Nordstrom tee//DIY vest//Steve Madden desert boots//vintage sunglasses//

It's the time of year now where our bright colored clothes seem too summery, but our winter staples are too dark and gloomy. Fear not! It's easy to find a happy medium between the two during this in-between month. I decided to pair my kelly green pants with my dark gray long sleeve tee to contrast the light and dark hues. Then, by adding a pop of color with the scarf, the outfit gets a little warmth but maintains the boldness.

But that's enough of this color nonsense, more importantly I need to decide which shoes I want to get for the quickly approaching holiday season! Updates from my search will come later...

Frankenstorm Style

This weekend, the country has been split into three different categories: Those who are tracking the path of hurricane Sandy on their TV, those who are staring out their window at gusting winds and pouring rain, and those who are doing both!

I, on the other hand, chose to use Frankenstorm/Sandy as a form of inspiration for rainy day style. Yes, it's true that I'm mixing about four different shades of neutrals, but hey at least I blend in with the gloom outside.

The eastern half of North America looks something like this right now:

Red Hot and Ready for the Runway

Yesterday was the 2nd Annual Nordstrom B.P. Fashion Board Fashion Show! In case you have no idea what I'm talking about you can remind yourself here. And Yes It Is Capital Letter Worthy. This year the theme was homecoming, but it was combined with fall looks. Each model chose a fall school look and a homecoming dress to strut in down the runway. During the show, each girl modeled their fall outfit--performed an impossible quick-change--then remained calm enough to gracefully float down the runway in a sparkly dress for their second look. All the while the paparazzi snapped pictures and the editor-in-chiefs jotted notes about the stunning high-fashion haute couture styles they observed. Next month they will all appear in VOGUE and teenagers will hightail it to the nearest B.P. to buy everything in sight.

Okay I got a little carried away there, but the show was a complete success! As a model, I loved being able to style my own outfit because last year we did not have that opportunity. Coincidentaly enough, while everyone was enjoying coffee in the store after the show, I took the time to look around and score some new clothes! I love the way my new blood red jeans and olive green military jacket go together perfectly. It's like red and green with a twist, so I don't look like a Christmas tree! Also according my last post I am totally on trend right now. Go me!

I'll post the paparazzi pics when the editors approve them, and choose which ones they want for the magazine.

On a side note: Fall=Apple Cider=Best thing ever.

Austin Photo Diary

//Heritage chambray shirt//B.P. tee//B.P. leggings//Bensimon shoes//Fossil watch//Kipling backpack//

Just got back from an awesome trip to Austin, Texas with the fam. I mean the WHOLE fam--reunion style. It was so fun to vacation lakeside in such a lavish house, complete with secret passages and everything! I'll admit although it was stunning, who really needs 49 gold plated lions in their house? Well you know what they say, everything's bigger in Texas.

Please enjoy this musical selection to keep you in the southern mood, y'all.

P.S. To all you Texas folk down there, take no offense, I'm still new to country music.
