Sneak Peak

//Cooperative skirt//Madewell necklace//Atmosphere flats//vintage coat//

Basically it's too cold and rainy/sleety/snowy today to get any decent shots of my outfit, so instead I will give you a sneak peak! Stay posted for my post-Christmas posts. Say post again. Post.*  Hopefully tomorrow the precipitation will subside just for me.

On repeat: This was my Christmas Eve attire, same dress as last post but with a slight twist--stockings!

*I really hope you got my Mean Girls reference....it's a classic.

Tea Time

//Madewell dress//Cooperative heels//

Here's a couple photos from when I went to tea at the Ritz Carlton! I feel very Kate Middleton in this dress...sort of how she looked here. But maybe it's just the tea talking....pinky's up!

Been MIA lately.....but with winter break just around the corner I'll catch back up quickly.

Here is some inspiration for my holiday shoe style. I'm thinking a pinch of glitter, a dash of shine, and of course more glitter. Enjoy!

Fall Transition

//H&M pants//Nordstrom tee//DIY vest//Steve Madden desert boots//vintage sunglasses//

It's the time of year now where our bright colored clothes seem too summery, but our winter staples are too dark and gloomy. Fear not! It's easy to find a happy medium between the two during this in-between month. I decided to pair my kelly green pants with my dark gray long sleeve tee to contrast the light and dark hues. Then, by adding a pop of color with the scarf, the outfit gets a little warmth but maintains the boldness.

But that's enough of this color nonsense, more importantly I need to decide which shoes I want to get for the quickly approaching holiday season! Updates from my search will come later...

The (faux)Coveteur

Recently I've stumbled upon the website The Coveteur, a site that  "takes you inside the homes and closets of today’s tastemakers and influential icons so you can discover and shop their unique style."

Clearly the website is self-explanatory, but I love the way that the houses they feature are always glowing and filled with light. Here is my amateur attempt at creating that feeling in my room, without the professional supplies, designer clothes, or the New York loft location.

Frankenstorm Style

This weekend, the country has been split into three different categories: Those who are tracking the path of hurricane Sandy on their TV, those who are staring out their window at gusting winds and pouring rain, and those who are doing both!

I, on the other hand, chose to use Frankenstorm/Sandy as a form of inspiration for rainy day style. Yes, it's true that I'm mixing about four different shades of neutrals, but hey at least I blend in with the gloom outside.

The eastern half of North America looks something like this right now:

Check Please

I've finally mastered the art of the ever-so-chic half-tucked in, half-rolled up, messy disheveled look courtesy a la Madewell. Here's a glance at some of my inspiration... Oh yeah and I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned how much I luh-ve that store, but in case you've forgotten here's your reminder.

Time to layer up! So here are 10 creative pairings to keep you warm all season long.
