Third and final stop on my spring break trip, Sullivan's Island, SC. I enjoyed a couple of leisurely days on the beach gettin my tan on. Since when did lighthouses stop looking like lighthouses and start looking like ugly black rectangles? I'm not sure, but I loved how it is so windy down there that these trees have begun to grow sideways. I didn't love getting caked in sand so much, I felt like I had a second layer of skin...Anyways, I'm back to reality now working hard until my day of freedom: June 15th! It's 47 days away but who's counting...

Sunday Shopping

Gap zip-up, Under Amour jogging pants, Nordstrom top, vintage bag, vintage shoes, Urban Outfitters nail polish.

Nothing like an early bird shopping trip to start the day off, the straight-outta-bed hair really completes the look. This bright sweater is from Gap about four years back, before they changed their color scheme to gray-scale. Like I said before though, they just came out with a new color campaign for this spring (which you can read about here) appropriately named "Be Bright". 

It looks a little something like this:

Today I got inspiration from the December Free People catalogue that I just received, specifically this picture:

...and a little bit of this as well:

I just love the way that it's so flowy and free! I approached the look in a more structured and subdued way...

except for my accessories! Last night I remembered that I had these colorful Vera Bradley patterned watches, so I searched around and dug them up. They are from a set of four bands with an interchangeable watch face. When I opened the box up though, I noticed that the watch had stopped working. So instead of abandoning the idea altogether, I decided to wear them as is! They give an unexpected pop of color to an otherwise monochromatic ensemble.
