Prints on prints on prints. When you're surrounded by all white, you've got to mix it up with your clothes! Even though it's about 50 degrees outside today, these photos are from a couple weeks ago when it was still wintry weather. 

Also, these are some lovely books that I recently received and can't wait to catch up on. Even if I never get around to finishing them they are perfect for sitting on my shelf as pretty decorations. Or instagram material...

Sometimes you just have one of those days, maybe you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, maybe you put your shirt on inside out, who knows. Can you guess which type of day I had? When I saw that I could read my shirt correctly in the mirror, I noticed something was up. That's when I realized how important the little details of life are! My favorite part of creating an outfit is choosing the accessories and styling the look because I really believe they can make or break an outfit. From now on I want to spend more time focusing on the smaller aspects of my outfit because I think they make all the difference. And if I do, maybe it will help keep me from looking like I got dressed in the dark. Which actually is what happened.

There's something about crisp white cloth against tan skin in the summer that looks so great. Now I can't get too excited about this because I haven't been poolside yet, but soon I will be showing off my sun-kissed skin--which hopefully will hide my shorts/sock/racerback tan lines...Well, a girl can hope!

Stop. It's Peplum Time.

I've decided to slowly work my way through this season's new trends, beginning with the peplum. For those of you who are not sure of what I'm talking about, I'll give you the rundown. A peplum gives a little extra umph to any outfit and is so "in" right now. It's a flirty, flouncy, and fun addition, but it also works well as a built in napkin if you spread it out, which came in handy on my picnic this past weekend. 

I was lounging in the grass with sunnies and my sun hat on, when the traveling circus showed up! Just kidding, it was just a trapeze school. But hey, they're pretty good!
